Two for the price of one: The possums often come in pairs, as if one found the food and led a friend/relative to show them where it
was. They're also usually pretty neat. The meal strewn about on the steps is probably because starlings and sparrows were invading the
dishes earlier in the day. (I sometimes look out and see sparrows sitting in the cat dish, as if they're auditioning to be cat food.) By
the way, that black thing on the right is a Hibachi.

I took this photo to answer the oft-asked question, "Do the possums ever watch you and imitate the way you eat?" Those of you
who've seen me dine on pasta now have your answer and no, it isn't pretty.

More possum pics. I especially like the expression on the face of the one on the right. It's like he's saying, "Don't mess
with me when I'm drinking."

And more raccoon pictures. Notice that the one on the left has his foot in the water dish. The one at right was taken just
the other night (2/23/02) and it's the first raccoon I've spotted out there in about three months. Not that there probably haven't been
visitations...

We've been getting a lot of hummingbirds at the feeder lately. They even stop flying and perch in the upper branches of the tree
to which this dispenser is attached...same tree the nest was in, by the way. If I lived on a diet of nothing but sugar water, I'd flap my arms
at about that speed.

Another possum...and at right, we have another species — a squirrel with a ratty tail.
