 Groo is published in a number of languages including, some claim, English. Most foreign comics deals are, for some reason,
divided into two parts. We sell them the right to print Groo comics in their territory and then, as a separate transaction, we sell them
photostats or copies of the film negatives from the original American editions, and they use these stats or negs for reproduction. The rate for
the latter can vary, depending on what kinds of material they need...but, of course, it's always a lot cheaper than the cost of hiring someone to
write and draw a new page...except in Turkey. There, pay rates for artists are so low that, rather than spend a few bucks to buy stats of
Sergio's art, they decided it was cheaper to hire some Turkish kid to trace a printed copy of Groo into black-and-white line art. The
page below is an example and, as you can see, the tracer left a lot of stuff out.
